Smart Choice was extremely unprofessional with constantly rescheduling my repair appointment. We had to reschedule 3 times making this an inconvenience as we have to take time off work in order to be home each time. Apparently, there was zero communication between the front office receptionist Oscar and our technician Edward as they kept scheduling the appointments and then canceling them because the technician is actually off work and went back and forth on wether the parts had arrived or not. The technician stated he never even saw me on his schedule, despite receiving several confirmation messages from the automated system. We had to last minute schedule our appointment for the following early morning the night before said morning so that our technician could leave for vacation in time. Edward was kind enough to throw in a free maintenance for the inconvenience but left the area a mess, scratched paint off our cabinet door and left the motor and blower parts for us to dispose of which I am unsure is proper protocol or not. When I expressed concerns over how much louder the dryer is and the unusual sounds it now has, he just shrugged it off and said to call the company if there are any issues. What I was told was supposed to be a 3-hour job took only an hour and I can only hope it was because of the proficiency of the technician and not a rushed, botched job. Oscar from Smart Choice HVAC & Appliance called me to follow up on the status of my dryer two days later. Once I mentioned that it is very excessively loud and continues to make a lot of unusual, very concerning noises as if it will break down at any moment, they said that in order to properly diagnose the issue, the tech said it needs to be moved outside. They recommended I disconnect the gas lines and either haul it out myself or pay another company to do it for them and pay said company again to bring it back in. Apparently, there was enough room to compete the job the first time, but not the second time… They refuse to address the issue further until I conduct the heavy lifting for them myself. Literally! Unfortunately, I will have to hire another company to get the job done. I will emphasize that the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because Edward performed the dryer maintenance for free and also worked with us to negotiate repairs with our warranty company as a courtesy. l believe that I have had a positive experience with this business before and at first things seemed promising, but ultimately, I am very disappointed in how things have progressed as we are currently unsure how much longer our dryer will last and cannot recommend working with them with confidence. Update: I changed my review from two to 3 stars as Smart Choice reached back out to me once a supervisor was made aware of my predicament and arranged for a supervisor and second technician to come out to address my concerns. Unfortunately, my home warranty company had already reassigned my case to another repair company. Smart Choice apologized and made it clear that they were very much interested in the chance to make everything right regarding the damages and repairs if the opportunity ever presents itself.

Alex did a great job. He was very professional, and got the job done. We had a squeaking noise that needed to be taken care of and he took care of it in a timely manner. Would like to work with him again.

From start to finish they were extremely helpful. We had been quoted from a big name company $10k to replace our AC, and SMARTCHOICE found the perfect unit for our home and replaced it all under $3500. Amazing to work with, very up front and detailed. Highly recommend!!

Great and friendly service. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because it took a week and a half to get the dryer fixed, when I was told the part would be delivered in 5 days.
